Freedom of Information, Lancashire County Council

Dear Mr Roberts,

Further to your email of 19/07/2019, I am writing to advise that Lancashire County Council does not hold the information you are seeking.

Lancashire County Council do not directly own or operate any 5G equipment including mobile network masts. The 5G network including any infrastructure and masts are owned and operated by the large mobile phone providers such as 02, Vodaphone and EE.

Should you have any additional queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you for your prompt response to my enquiry.

I must however clarify my original request by asking,

Would planning approval at County or Borough level be required for these large Companies to install 5G equipment and masts and subsequently operate them within Lancashire?

Have any such planning approvals been granted and if so at which locations?

Have any such planning applications been submitted and if so for which locations?

Basically these questions are the same as my original questions I believe.

Yours sincerely,

peter k. roberts.

Good Afternoon Mr Roberts

Apologises for the confusion. We have looked into you enquiry again
regarding the planning approval for large mobile network providers to
install 5G equipment and masts operating within Lancashire and we can
confirm that the permission would be a District Council planning matter.
Lancashire County Council do not have any involvement with this particular
subject matter.

Likewise any plans of approval for locations and plans that may have
already been submitted for these locations would be at District level.

To help support you in obtaining the information you are seeking we have
