5G Rollout - What safety tests have you conducted?

The request was refused by Leicester City Council.

Dear Leicester City Council,

Please can you confirm what frequency and power output your 5G lamp post transmitters (specifically on Hughenden Drive and Aylestone Road) utilise?

Please can you confirm their purpose, and frequency of transmission?

Please can you confirm what safety tests of these specific frequency transmitters have been conducted either by yourselves, or your agents, prior to installation?

Please can you confirm what public consultation you carried out before rolling these out, considering the known health dangers posed by ALL electromagnetic radiation as confirmed by the World Health Organisation in their Group 2B classification (possibly carcinogenic)?

Yours faithfully,

Chris.

Dear info-requests,

Pravina, thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, I believe that you may have been advised to provide false information in relation to your denial that Leicester City council have rolled out 5G infrastructure.

I advise that I have a background in telecommunications and transmitter technology, and can confirm that these LED streetlights are 'smart' equipped and fitted with radio transmitters and antennas on every corresponding lamp post.

Please can you confirm 1) The frequency used 2) The power output and 3) The purpose of these transmitters?

Yours sincerely,

Dear Iain Harrison,

I advise that I believe that the Councils response to my request is deliberately factually incorrect and, as such, I understand that there may be legal grounds for prosecution of the Council, and possibly also the individual who has sought to mislead the general public with this false information.

I further advise that I am aware that Leicester City council has fitted 5G infrastructure throughout the city centre, and surrounding suburbs, in the form of LED street lights containing 5G transceivers to enable the roll out of the 'Internet Of Things'.

I am aware that Leicester City Council is working to the timeline of approximately 12 months from now for this 5G network to be fully up and running. Leicester City Council has earmarked the culling of a number of mature trees across Leicestershire to enable this 5G network to cover the whole area.

I am aware that neither Leicester City Council, nor its agents, have independently tested this technology for safety, and has not informed its constituents of the potential health risks, nor has it sought any informed consent at any time.

I advised that this entire thread has been saved, and logged, and any attempt at alteration at a future date will be noted.

I look forward to your response.

Dear Iain Harrison,

I refer you to my previous response also.

If 5G radiation is deployed and found to be affecting my property without my consent, I will seek legal action and I will withhold all Council Tax payments as I refuse to willing fund the rollout of radiation emitting devices that have not undergone any safety testing whatsoever.

I advise that your colleagues previous denials may also be used as evidence in a court.

Dear Leicester City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Leicester City Council's handling of my FOI request '5G Rollout - What safety tests have you conducted?'.

The response contains knowingly false, incorrect and misleading information which I would consider to be a serious breach of the obligations of a publicly funded organisation which has a duty of care to its citizens.

I am aware of the fact that the 5G rollout is a worldwide scheme and Leicester City Council are have agreed to participate in the UKs second phase of the rollout which will also include Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Coventry and Bristol.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/5...

Yours faithfully,

Chris

Iain Harrison, Leicester City Council

Dear Mr Higgs

To summarise, the Council responded to your Freedom of Information request
regarding this issue (our ref: FOI 17524).

It also conducted an internal review of the above response (our ref: FOI
17578) and advised you that your next step if you remain dissatisfied is
to contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

The position (and the Council’s response) remains unchanged. The Council
has no 5G apparatus operating on its street lighting.

To advise and assist you further, if you can clarify exactly what actual
5G activities and systems you believe the Council (as opposed to another,
perhaps commercial, telecommunications provider) is currently
utilising/operating in the Leicester City area, I would be interested to
know.

Yours sincerely
