Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for our request dated 14^th October 2018. The information
requested is below/attached.
1. We do not have specific polices for vulnerable tenants who
are facing eviction, however a tenants vulnerability is always
taken into account when we are considering evictions, and other
options i.e. transfer to supported housing are
considered. There is also an eviction panel, which considers the
vulnerability of tenants who are facing eviction due to rent
arrears, the terms of reference for this panel are attached.
2. HFH do not currently have documents concerning policies and
procedures regarding the eviction of squatter/ trespassers from properties
owned or rented by the London Borough of Haringey. However if the
squatter/ trespasser is vulnerable they can approach the
Housing Demand Service to be assessed for assistance with their
housing situation.
3. Vulnerable residential occupiers threatened by homelessness should
approach Homes for Haringey Demand Team and they will be assessed
for housing as set out in the Haringey Council’s Allocations
Policy 2015 amended 1^st May 2017 and 14^th March 2018
