Interim, temporary and social services accommodation statistics for domestic violence survivors and NRPF families in Sandwell

Dear Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please send me electronic copies of the following:

For the periods:

a. 1st January 2015 - 31st December 2015 and
b. 1st January 2016 - 31st December 2016

how many individuals and families owed a main homelessness duty by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, as a result of a risk of domestic violence were placed in B&B or hotel accommodation as Section 188 (1) interim or Section 193 (2) temporary accommodation?

Of these, how many:

1. were in B&B or hotel accommodation as Section 188(1) interim or Section 193(2) temporary accommodation for between 6 weeks and 6 months?

2. were in B&B or hotel accommodation as Section 188(1) interim or Section 193(2) temporary accommodation for between 6 months and 12 months?

3. were in B&B or hotel accommodation as Section 188(1) interim or Section 193(2) temporary accommodation for over 12 months?

Please, if possible, separate this data under the two types of accommodation.

For the periods:

a. 1st January 2015 - 31st December 2015 and
b. 1st January 2016 - 31st December 2016

how many families accommodated by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's Children’s Social Care department under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989 as a result of having no recourse to public funds were placed in B&B or hotel accommodation by the local authority?

Of these, how many:

1. were in B&B or hotel accommodation provided by the local authority for between 6 months and 12 months?

2. were in B&B or hotel accommodation provided by the local authority for between 12 months and 24 months?

3. were in B&B or hotel accommodation provided by the local authority for over 24 months?
