Universal Credit Suicide And Self-Harm

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I request copies of all guidance and procedure given to DWP Universal Credit Case Managers regarding a claimant who has expressed suicidal intent, or intent to self-harm, while claiming, or attempting to claim, Universal Credit.
In addition, what procedure exists to record these unfortunate events, and the subsequent action taken by the DWP in respect of these incidents ?

Yours faithfully,

Jeff Smith

From my own recent experience, it's buisness as usual.

I gave heads up on the very last line on my work book that I listed my activity in. I even had my answers written down ready to hand over as I expected 6 point plan to take effect, as I wanted to hold it together long enough to walk out the doors.

It wasn't required, my appointments and times have been booked and wrote down in back of my work plan for the next month.

My cirrumstances have always fallen upon deaf ears so I didn't expect anything other than saving them the time of going through 6 point plan.

My account of events will be published and sent to everyone like a Christmas round robin card, hopefully it will make a difference to someone else
