Validity of Tier 4 Dependent Visa when main applicant change course and apply for a new Tier 4 Visa
Dear Home Office,
My wife is currently doing her Master course at University of Birmingham on a Tier 4 Student Visa and I am on a PBS dependent Visa, we made our visa application together and both of us has Visa valid date until 25/01/2019.
She has been offered by the University to transfer to PhD course recently and she will then need to reapply for a new Tier 4 Visa in her home country for her PhD course. So do I have to reapply for a new PBS dependent Visa with her or can I extend my PBS dependent Visa later before it expires?
Yours faithfully,
Patrick
Dear Patrick.
Thank you for your enquiry dated 21st July regarding your tier 4 dependent
visa.
As long as the visa is the same type that you wife is applying for, then
there is no need to reapply yourself, until it is time to renew.
Please note the onus is upon individual customers to ensure that they
satisfy the requirements set out in the guidance material. The guidance
material accompanies each and every application form. UK Visas and
Immigration is not able to give, indicate or advise upon the outcome of
any such application prior to it being given full and careful
consideration.
Directing you to the guidance material is the only advice we can give you.
If you need any further help you should seek independent immigration
advice. Immigration advisers can help you with immigration matters,
including completion of forms and representing you at a tribunal. The
Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) regulates
immigration advisers, which mean they must meet certain standards.
