Confidentiality - NHS emails
Dear Department of Health,
Patient confidentiality would be best maintained if all Health Trusts and NHS employees used NHS.net accounts only, rather than many continuing to use their own email address with no alternative NHS.net address
1. How are we expected to maintain patient confidentiality via email when so many email addresses are being used by the varying NHS Trusts?
2. Are there any plans by NHS England to improve security of email communication between Trusts and NHS employees ie by ruling that all Trusts use NHS.net accounts only?
Yours faithfully,
T Smith
