The number of people on benefits in Oxford who cite alcohol related issues as a reason for being on benefits and not be able to work.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Hi,

Can I find out the number of people on benefits in Oxford who cite alcohol related issues as a reason for being on benefits and not be able to work.

I would like the figures for this for the last five years, including the figures for 2015.

I would like the figures for each year broken down into each year.

Yours faithfully,

Michael Race

Dear Samih Faisal IFD FINANCE GROUP,

Hi,

Is it possible I could get the amount of people the figures are out of?

For example 40 people in Nov 2010 claimed who claimed ESA cited alcohol related issues as a result of being on benefits.
Can I have the number of people on that benefit as a whole for Oxford?

Yours sincerely,

Michael Race

In response to your query, information on ESA claimant caseload is published via the Departmental Tabulation Tool which allows users to create their own tables and can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/collection...

To produce the statistics you require, visit the Tabulation Tool via the link above and follow these instructions:

1. Under ‘Caseload statistics’ select Benefit caseload national statistics (WPLS data) (includes ESA).

2. Under Benefit/Scheme select Employment Support Allowance.

And then select from the various options available to create your desired table(s).
