Dear Department of Health (Northern Ireland),

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I wish to request the following:

- Written correspondence from the Chief Medical Officer for Northern Ireland to the Chief Medical Office of Ireland;
- Received correspondence from the Chief Medical Office of Ireland, including replies (to the above);
- In the time frame of 01 July 2020 to 31 March 2021
- Regarding specifically a strategy to adopt a "Zero Covid" approach to the Coronavirus Pandemic on the island of Ireland.

A "zero covid" strategy is where the virus is suppressed such that cases tend towards zero for a sustained timeframe that causes the elimination of the virus both in the community and the care environments.

For the purposes of "written communication", this includes emails, electronic soft documents (such as PDFs) and briefing notes from telephonic/video calls (but not actual electronic recordings, SMSs)

Yours faithfully,

Robert John Park
