Dear [Name Removed]
Further to the request below, I can respond to your Freedom of Information

Homelessness
Number of homeless decisions for applicants under 40:
2010/11 – 55+163+16+6+101 = 341
2011/12 – 57+150+16+2+104 = 329
2012/13 – 33+115+17+1+89 = 255
2013/14 – 47+37+14+1+97 = 196
2014/15 – 33+56+15+3+88 = 195
2015/16 – 31+55+18+4+101 = 209
2016/17 – 29+34+15+5+88 = 171
2017/18 – 43+33+13+1+60 = 150
Number of applicants under 40 assessed as owed a duty under the Homeless
Reduction Act:
2018/19 – 420 (113 of which were at risk of losing or had lost their
private sector tenancy)
2019/20 – 342 (112 of which were at risk of losing or had lost their
private sector tenancy)

Please note. It would be worth noting that figures for 2020/21 are lower
due to a ban on evictions being in place for most of the year.
