Your Accredited Persons Scheme

The request was successful.

Dear Nottingham City Council,

I would like to know about your involvement in a police accredited persons scheme.

I would like to know –

1. The number of council staff who are accredited persons, and the powers they hold;

2. Any records you hold on the activities of these accredited persons, including:
- any fines they have issued (if possible, please give annual figures broken down by offence);
- the number of incidents of alcohol confiscation (please give annual statistics).
It is part of the conditions of the accredited persons scheme that you keep records of this kind.

Yours faithfully,

Josie Appleton

Nottingham City Council

Dear Information Governance,

Many thanks for this.

Would it be possible to break down the FPNs by offence? If it is not possible for the whole period, then could you do it for the last two years?

I am particularly interested to know whether any of these FPN are Penalty Notices for Disorder - which would be for the offences of 'harassment, alarm or distress', or 'drinking in a designated public place'.

Yours sincerely,

Josie Appleton
