Young visitors to the BBC News studio
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Following my enquiry ref. CAS-5488821 which relates to a recent BBC News broadcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CjOCYzR...) I have been informed by the BBC Complaints Team that "it looks as though a small child brought into the office was rolling about on the floor for a moment" during the broadcast. The child appears to be unaccompanied.
While I consider it perfectly acceptable for parents to take children "to work", particularly during a weekend, I am mindful of the security and Health & Safety procedures that should be in place at a major broadcaster's news studio that young visitors are, presumably, asked to follow.
I would be grateful for details of the specific induction procedure for news studio visitors under the age of 18, including any rules that govern their behaviour when unaccompanied.
Yours faithfully,
Mr A Willmore
