Young offenders and eviction notices

The request was successful.

Dear Redbridge Borough Council,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to receive information disclosure for the following:

1. The number of requests made to families of young offenders between the age
of 10 to 25 years old to sign an undertaking in which they agree their child will not
live at or visit the address (house) for the duration of their tenancy.

2. The nature of the crimes young offenders committed in this circumstance.

3. The number of families who signed the undertaking documents.

4. The number of families who received Notice of Seeking Possession asking them to
give up their home after breaching the undertaking.

5. Primary reason cited for eviction.

6. The number of families who've challenged the Notice and have taken matters to
court.

7. The number of families evicted from their home as a result of breaching the
undertaking or losing the court case.

8. Breakdown of ethnic background of families evicted.

9. Number of offenders handed Criminal Behaviour Order in this situation.

10. Including any relevant documents that the council can provide, which stipulate the
policies and action guidance in these circumstances.

The information you'll be providing needs to encompass the period between 2010 to 2018.

If this request is too broad or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me, as I
understand that under the Act you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please direct me to it.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Minto
