Yellow Cards and Warning regarding unlicensed herbal medicines on sale over the internet

The request was successful.

Tania: of the Cocking Family

Dear Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency,

1)Please confirm the number of Yellow Cards received regarding suspected and actual adverse reactions including fatalities, to licensed and unlicensed herbal medicines, since the Yellow Card system has been in place.

2)Please detail the information received in each Yellow Card received, including the reaction, and the herbal medicine assumed to be responsible.

3)Please confirm the actions undertaken by the MHRA in response to these Yellow Cards.

I quote from your website:
"Be wary of any herbal medicine not licensed in the UK which is advertised for serious medical conditions. These unauthorised claims only serve one purpose – to persuade vulnerable groups to part with their hard earned money."

4)Please forward all the indisputable evidence the MHRA holds to substantiate this statement.

Yours faithfully,

Tania: of the Cocking family

Mr Clarke left an annotation ()

"These unauthorised claims only serve one purpose – to persuade vulnerable groups to part with their hard earned money."

Sounds like quite an accurate description of most of the NHS and GMC/BMA etc quackery actually. There's been a huge increase in illness and disability since the founding of the corporatised NHS. Join the dot.

"With regards to the statement "[....]These unauthorised claims only serve one purpose – to
persuade vulnerable groups to part with their hard earned money.” This statement is based on a
variety of evidence which can be viewed on our website at

balsafetyupdates/index.htm "

Funny, I couldn't see any such evidence anywhere on that webpage or site myself. Should I get my eyes tested perhaps?
