Dear Ministry of Defence,

I would like to make an application under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 for a copy of the relevant Royal Navy World War Two medal index card entry for an individual that is over 116 years of age.

W. MARSDEN SBR/6051, ROYAL NAVAL AUXILIARY SICK BERTH RESERVE.

His Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was awarded on the 12th January 1939 and required twelve years adult service.

1939-12-18=1909

As the medal was awarded in January 1939, he would have been born in the year 1908 or earlier, thus over 116 years ago.

A copy of the medal roll showing the award date can be found at the below link; https://www.ancestry.co.uk/discoveryui-c.... His entry is on the left hand page and he is the twelfth man down.

Kind Regards,
C Bishop
