Thank you for your email of 27 February 2023 to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) requesting the
following information:
“I would like to make an application under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000
for copies of the relevant World War Two Medal Card entries for
PHILIP GEORGE BLANN J101167
JOHN EDWARD DAVIS J95766
FREDERICK ALLAN WHITEAR 351642
ARTHUR HENRY BAKER J107031
JOSEPH McCONNELL K59267
JAMES COLE K13046”
I am treating your correspondence as a request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
A search for the information has now been completed within the MOD and I can confirm that
some information is held. The medal cards for Philip George Blann, John Edward Davis, Arthur
Henry Baker and Joseph McConnell are held and can be found enclosed at Annexes A-D.
However, the medal cards for Frederick Allan Whitear and James Cole are not held.
