Wragge Report Below is the request you submitted to the Council: Dear

what procurement if any was followed by the council I have broken your
request down into the questions you have asked and the Council's response
below them. Q1 Could you please provide the total and final cost of the
wragge report A1 The amount paid is £181,668.50 Q2 Also the initial quote
in written format from the solicitors involved, A2 The Council used its
delegated powers and obtained an exemption from its Contract Procedure
Rules to go to a single provider on an estimated value for the works.
Q3 Also who signed the invoice off in a written format A3 The invoices
were signed off by either Melanie Dudley or Jan Britton. Q4 Please provide
all notes and minutes from meetings between the solicitors and Sandwell
Council prior to report being published A4 In regards to your request for
all notes and minutes from meetings between the solicitors and Sandwell
Council prior to report being published; I can confirm that although we
hold the information requested, Section 42 of the Freedom of Information
Act allows authorities to withhold information which is subject to Legal
Professional Privilege. We believe that this information is subject to
Legal Professional Privilege and therefore will not be disclosing this to
you. Section 42 is qualified exemption and therefore subject to a public
interest test. The Council is of the opinion that the disclosure of
information sought and received from legal professionals would have a
detrimental effect on any future legal advice being sought in the future
if it is known that information received would be disclosed in the future.
Q5 And what procurement if any was followed by the council A5 The Council
used its delegated powers and obtained an exemption from its Contract
