BGCBC - FOI Requests, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council

1 Attachment

Dear Janet Eastham,

In response to your Freedom of Information request, please see the
Officer's response below.

Q1. During the month of April 2022, how many council employees were
working from home, and what percentage of the office based workforce does
this represent?

We are unable to provide an accurate figure of how many staff actually
worked from home but we can confirm the number of positions allocated as
home or agile worker (agile will involve some element of working from
home)

• Home worker positions – 233 – 10%
• Agile worker positions – 694 – 32%
• All other positions are service based workers which are based either
in our offices or within the community

Q2. Between 1st and 30th April 2022, how many desk bookings were made
across the council's office buildings and, on average, how many desk
bookings were there a day during this month?

We will provide this information as soon as we can and apologise for any
inconvenience this delay may cause.

Q3. How many desks were available for use in the month April 2022 across
the council's office buildings?

As above

Q4. What was the maximum number of office staff who could theoretically
work in the office on any given day in April 2022?

As above

Q5. What was the total number of office staff who worked in your council's
offices each day prior to the pandemic?

This is difficult to answer as prior to the pandemic roles were not
clearly defined as office based or agile, what we can provide is figures
for employees who are based at BGCBC premises. Please see attached
spreadsheet. We have highlighted the areas where there would be office
based staff amongst staffing overall if this helps.

I trust this answers your request and if you have any queries please don't
hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Information Governance Team / Tîm Llywodraethu Gwybodaeth
