Dear Mr Sharman

You wrote on 26 June 2018 asking a number of questions under the Freedom
of Information Act concerning North Hertfordshire College’s provision for
employee development.  Our response is given below:

Question 1.         Does your organisation use a Learning Management
System and e-learning provision for employee / staff training?

Response.           Yes.

Question 2.         If no, are there ongoing plans to purchase a Learning
Management System and e-learning provision for employee training in the
near future?

Response            Not applicable.

Question 3.         What is the name of the Learning Management System
(product name) and which company is it purchased from?

Response:           We use a bespoke system called ‘Learn’ for students
and in-house SharePoint sites for staff training, plus other ad-hoc
solutions.

Question 4.         Provide brief information of the current e-learning
courses that are used in employee training.

Response:           In-house training for GDPR; sector/government provided
training for Safeguarding and Prevent

Question 5.         Who provides the e-learning courses that are used in
employee training?

Response:           Where e-learning is used, courses are either developed
in-house or sourced from sector bodies such as the Association of Colleges
or not for profit local providers.

Question 6.         Provide the development themes of the eLearning
courses that are used in employee training (i.e. Compliance, Safeguarding,
etc.)

Response:           Safeguarding, GDPR, Prevent

Question 7.         Value of the current contract, date of commencement
and date of expiry.

Response:           Not applicable.  There is no current contract.

Question 8.         Who is responsible for ensuring the LMS and e-learning
provision meets your training requirements?

Response:           The Directors of Curriculum work with the IT
department to keep ‘Learn’ up-to-date. E-learning for staff is the
responsibility of individual departments who work with the IT department
to find a solution

Question 9.         Can you please provide your current organisational
structure for the college.

Response:           A powerpoint document is attached.

of your request, then you should contact me in the first instance. If
informal resolution is not possible and you are still dissatisfied, then
you may apply for an independent internal review by contacting Paul Harte,
