Nottingham. I have detailed below the information that is being released

 1. For the entry years 2020 to 2023 what was the minimum number of weeks
work experience you required in a veterinary practice This information
is available on our website.  

You'll need a minimum of 5 weeks work experience. Work experience can be
done over varying hours and days and should include:  

• A minimum of 3 weeks of animal handling  
• Up to 2 weeks of either customer facing and/or teamwork experience  
• Up to 2 weeks for the completion of the [1]Virtual Work Experience and
Exploring the Veterinary Profession free online course.  

All experience needs to be completed within three years prior to
application and by the 15 October application deadline. Work experience
booked after this date will not be taken into consideration.

For 2022 entry and before, we required 4 weeks of animal handling
experience. For 2023 entry we asked for 5 weeks of experience, including 3
weeks of animal handling experience and up to 2 weeks of customer facing
and/or teamwork experience - The MOOC also contributes as two weeks . 
 
b) Other environments, in which case please specify what types of
environments. See answer to question 1a 
If this varies by course, please specify the details for any course that
leads to qualification as a vet.   

Same work experience requirements are mandatory for all three of our
Veterinary Medicine courses

Before interview We require the minimum amount of work experience to have
been completed (as detailed in question 1a). Applicants are asked to
complete a work experience questionnaire. 
 
b. During the offer process N/A *as after interview successful applicants
are made an offer based on meeting academic qualifications* 
 
c. At any other stage N/A 
 
4) Do you intend to change your requirements for 2024 entry? If this
information is not yet available, please indicate when it will be
available.   

Admissions requirements can change from year to year and we advise
