We are writing in response to your email received by Post Office Limited (“Post 
Office”) on 22 September, which has been dealt with under the terms of the 
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”). 
 
In your email you have requested the information shown in bold below: 
 
“Since 1 January 2007, how much in fees has been paid to Womble Bond 
Dickinson (inc Bond Pearce and Bond Dickinson) for their role in the Post Office 
Horizon IT scandal?” 
 
We have interpreted the part of your request which says, “for their role in the Post 
Office Horizon IT scandal”, to include any work relating to the Group Litigation, 
remediation, and the Horizon IT Public Inquiry carried out by Womble Bond 
Dickinson LLP (“WBD”), including any previous company names. 
 
We can confirm the total fee paid to WBD between the financial years 2013–14 to 
2022–23, was £37,498,000. We do not hold information before the financial year 
2013-14 as a new accounting system was used when Post Office separated from 
the Royal Mail Group.
