Dear Ms Pat James,

RE: Freedom of Information Request Ref No: 8566

Thank you for your recent communication, and to be able to answer your request we require some clarification. I apologise for the delay coming back to you to seek this clarification.

"Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I require that you provide or direct me to the following information from your Billing Authority Records:

1. the total number of Council Tax defaulters for the financial year 2015/2016 only.
2. the total value of outstanding Council Tax for the financial year 2015/2016 only."

a) With regards to question 1, where you mention 'defaulters' at what what level/stage of default is being referred to? Those that haven't paid on time, those that are referred to Bailiffs, referred to the courts, etc.
b) With regards to the time - As the total figure will vary through the year depending on payments, what date or dates are you looking for the information on - For example the 2015/2016 as at 1st April 2016.

If you can provide us with some clarification on this then we can provide it to the department to be able to answer your request.

The request is on hold while we wait for some clarification, and once we received this we will restart the request and inform you of the new due date.

Yours sincerely
