Dear Mr Cobb

I am now able to respond to your Environmental Information request logged on 23rd November under reference 346835.

Please can you provide me with all correspondence between CBC and any public or private partner regarding the Garden Community consultation held at the William Loveless Hall in Wivenhoe on 20 November, 2017.

Please include all emails and any internal documents or communication compiled before or after the event.

I would like this information to include correspondence from both CBC Cllr's and Officers.

The attached email chains are the only correspondence or other documents held relating to the exhibition held at the William Loveless Hall in Wivenhoe on 20 November, 2017. Unpublished contact details have been redacted as personal information excluded from release by Environmental Information Regulation 13 and Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

No councillors acted on behalf of the Borough Council in relation to the exhibition. The Council does not hold records of correspondence sent or received by councillors acting in their ward role.

Unless performing a specific role on behalf of the Council, councillors act as private individuals elected as representatives of the residents of their ward. As individual councillors they are not defined in the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as public bodies and are therefore not subject to the provisions of the Act.

The Exhibition held on 20th November was one of a number of similar events held at various locations to publicise the North Essex Garden Community proposals. Visitors to exhibitions who can access the internet are advised to submit comments using the portal at http://braintree-consult.objective.co.uk... .

Any comments on paper handed to staff at exhibitions are scanned and saved with other comments received by post or at our offices. The route by which each comment is received is not recorded.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this request please contact me again quoting the reference given above.

Yours sincerely
