The request was successful.

Dear Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,

I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, details in respect to the following questions;

1. How many instances of the Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System are currently in operation across your entire network? How many devices such as kiosks, lap tops etc are still running Windows 7?

2. How many instances of the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System are currently in operation across your entire network ? How many devices such as kiosks, lap tops etc are still running Windows XP?

3. Who is the officer responsible for maintaining and delivering legacy applications to all your users?

Dear Lee,

Thank you for your request for information which was received on 20 July 2021, and has been logged under ref FOI/21/0271. Please quote this reference in any future correspondence.

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to Freedom of Information Act 2000.

However, the NHS is facing further unprecedented challenges relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic at the current time. Understandably, our resources have been diverted to support our front-line colleagues who are working tremendously hard to provide care for our patients, to those in need of our services and to the COVID-19 vaccination programme.

We strive to be transparent and to work with an open culture.

At this time, the care of our patients and the safety of our staff takes precedence and it is likely that responses to some requests for information will be delayed. Where this occurs, the Trust will follow the guidance issued by the Information Commissioner at: https://ico.org.uk/media/about-the-ico/p....

We apologise for this need in advance, and will endeavour to provide you with as much information as we can, as soon as we are able.

If your request for information is not urgent and you are able to submit your request at a later date, please inform us and we will withdraw it.

If you still require the information, the planned response date is 17/8/2021 but there may be circumstances where we identify that it cannot be provided within the statutory timescales and suspend your request to a later date if the response is dependent on the help of key clinical staff or senior managers to obtain the information.

The Information Commissioners Office has recognised the current situation in the NHS and you can find additional information at: https://ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/news-an...

Yours sincerely,
