Will Liverpool MP Kim Johnson now act on Chinatown and join with Cllr Richard Kemp?
Dear Liverpool City Council,
A Liverpool MP has renewed the call for an apology from the Home Office for the forcible deportation of thousands of Chinese seamen from Liverpool in the wake of the Second World War.
Liverpool Riverside MP Kim Johnson used the Chinese New Year on February 12 to take the opportunity to recognise the invaluable contribution of the Chinese community in Liverpool – the oldest in Europe – to the city, by renewing calls for an apology over the issue.
1. Will the Liverpool city council after six years now explain to the Liverpool Chinese Community, and the public of Liverpool, why Great George Street Development project, has been left to rot?
2. Cllr Ann O’Byrne, Cllr Gary Millar, Cllr Steve Munby has refused to explain or comment on this project and all wish to remain silent yet all were involved in this in 2014/15 are they all above the law?
3. Have all the fees due to the LCC been collected from GGSD Ltd if not why is this?
4. Will Liverpool (MP Kim Johnson) try to act and ask questions about the state of this site and why it is a dumping ground in the Chinese Community?
4. Cllr Richard Kemp is willing to establish an "outside independent “ commission to investigate the £250 million Chinatown failed project and MP Dan Carden would do the same, will “The Liverpool City Council” along with MP Kim Johnson, please act and become a part of this commission and also hand over all the files from 2014/15 on Chinatown Project to the SFO?
5. Can the Liverpool City provide any new information as to the (£1.7 million) still long overdue to the Liverpool Council from Chinatown from GGSD Ltd and it's sister company?
6. Will the Liverpool City Council explain why "Jayne Moore Media" and Kerry Tomlinson both of (Yorkshire house 18 Chapel St Liverpool) still control Liverpool Chinatown and act for GGSD Ltd as PR agents?
6. Will Liverpool City Council and Jayne Moore Media please come forward to explain what is happening in Liverpool Chinatown with GGSD Ltd and this project which is now a rubbish tip along with an eyesore to the city of Liverpool?
Cc: Mr. Max Caller, Pagoda Chinese Community and Youth Centre, Colin Ling.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Pickford
