Can you please let me know:

The number of wildflower areas in the LB of Croydon. Please let me have a list of the sites.
How many new wildflower areas have been created since 9 May 2022 where LB of Croydon have provided all of the funding. Please let me have a list of the sites and dates created.
When were the trial sites of Covington Way boundary, The Green, Featherbed Lane, Bradmore Green and Beaulah Road "Seeded"?
Please set out what The Tree and Woodland Team and Ground Maintenance Team have achieved in planting flower and nectar rich species good for wildlife. Please give details of the sites and the dates of planting and what was planted.
How many local communities have created chalk grassland "Living Landscapes"? Please state how these communities were identified and set out how LB Croydon "is working closely" on the Beautiful Butterfly Project

Further to your request received on 31/07/2024, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Environmental Information
Regulations. For ease of reference, I will now address each of your
questions in turn.

The number of wildflower areas in the LB of Croydon. Please let me have a
list of the sites.

There are 5 wildflower areas implemented by Croydon council:

• Covington Way
• The green at featherbed lane. In junction with London wildlife trust
• Bradmore green.
• Whitehorse recreation ground

In addition to the above, the London wildlife trust have created:
Grange Park, Old Coulson
Foxley Wood, Kenley
Higher Drive Rec, Kenley
South Croydon Rec
Sanderstead rec
Sanderstead rec old bowling green
Selsdon Rec
Selsdon Wood
Littleheath woods, Selsdon
The Green, Featherbed Lane
Falconwood Meadow
Milne Park, New Addington

Please note that Beulah road wildflower verge has not been implemented.

How many new wildflower areas have been created since 9 May 2022 where LB
of Croydon have provided all of the funding. Please let me have a list of

Please set out what The Tree and Woodland Team and Ground Maintenance Team
have achieved in planting flower and nectar rich species good for
wildlife. Please give details of the sites and the dates of planting and
what was planted.

Creation of 3 fully stablished wildflower beds across the borough.

How many local communities have created chalk grassland "Living
Landscapes"? Please state how these communities were identified and set
out how LB Croydon "is working closely" on the Beautiful Butterfly
Project.

The parks department did not authorise any community intervention. The
beautiful butterfly project is coming to an end, the council engaged with
LWT officers to identify potential sites for the project and commit to
assist with maintenance.
