Dear Public Health Agency for Northern Ireland,
Freedom of information request relating to public health agency.
The western trust made two requests (first in October 2022, then in November 2022) to the Dept Of Health for approval to suspend emergency general surgery at the Southwest acute hospital.
it is my understanding that PHA needs to be involved in the approval process for such a request.
Can you please provide the following:
(1) all communication relating to the two requests that occurred between PHA, Dept of health and western trust.
(2) Any internal emails or communications within the PHA relating to these two requests.
