Dear Western Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),

1. Your website states that your Board has the following responsibilities;

*set the strategic direction of the organisation
*review performance and quality outcomes
*determine effective stewardship of the organisation's resources
*ensure that the highest standards of governance and personal conduct are maintained

If it is a case that a member of the public has found various incidences of low standards/unacceptable governance/ poor conduct etc, and has exhausted complaints procedures as well as communication with the CEO- please outline what is expected of the BOARD once they have been contacted (how are they contacted) and please outline the engagement process from start to finish.

2. Please outline how members of the Board are selected and elected

3. Please outline how many of the Board are NOT employed by the WHSCT itself.

4 Please outline the payment agreements for each Board member giving figures.

5. Please outline who the Board members are accountable to and if complaints can be made about board members.

6. Board meetings are held 11 times a year. May I contribute to the agenda of any of those meetings and may I attend any of those, and if so please outline the process?
