We have now considered your request and a copy of the information is
enclosed below and attached.

Response: Within Children’s Services responsibility lies with the
Strategic Manager – Vulnerable Children.  Within Human Resources all
vacancies are supported by the Employee Resourcing team who are managed by
the Senior Resourcing Officers.

 

3.     What steps if any have you taken or intend to take to incentivise
retention?

Response: We have a workforce planning group meeting regularly to address
issues of recruitment and retention.

We offer systemic practice as an evidence-based approach and arrange our
social work teams into pods which support social work practice and
systemic practice.

We are the Lead on Step up to Social Work for the West Midlands region and
part of West Midlands Frontline programme.

Our senior management team are accessible and meet fortnightly to look at
staffing issues.
