SRA Information Compliance, Solicitors Regulation Authority

Information request – Our Ref: IG/TC/485

I am writing in response to your email of 5 March 2021.

I am handling your request for information under the SRA’s Transparency Code.

You requested the following information:

“I would like to who regulates the conduct of Solicitors Regulation Authority? Please provide the contact details?”

Our response:

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) are an independent regulatory body and do not have a regulator.

However, the Legal Services Board (LSB) is the oversight regulator for legal services approved regulators, including the SRA. As an oversight regulator, the LSB does not have jurisdiction to review approved regulators’ decisions or process on individual cases.

Please see the Legal Services Board website for more information and contact details: https://legalservicesboard.org.uk/enquir....

More information on how we handle requests, including a link to a copy of our Transparency Code, can be found on our website:

Please quote the reference number IG/TC/485 if you decide to contact us further regarding this request.

Yours sincerely,
