Who provided your LGBT & Equality training

We're waiting for Katy Worley to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Manchester Metropolitan University,

What LGBT+ Equality training have your staff received since 2014 and what organisation(s) provided it? How much did they charge? Can you break this down by year where relevant.

Yours faithfully,

Katy Worley

Dear Ms Worley

Please find below the information held by the University currently in the
categories you have requested:

This type of training is provided in house, by the University’s Equality
and Diversity function, and as such specific costs are not available. The
training includes:

·       Reference to LGBT equality in mandatory online training for all
staff on starting, and for all managers. (Since pre-2014)

·       LGBT equality is explicitly referenced within Managing at
Manchester Met. Module 3 (our mandatory training course for all line
managers) – rolled out from Jan 2019.

·       All HR staff have undergone training to support staff undergoing
gender transition. (2017/18)

·       Staff across student services and library services have undergone
training to support trans and non-binary students. (2019)

·       We run additional LGBT equality training to coincide with Engage
week, LGBT History Month and Pride – these are open sessions for any staff
to attend. (Ongoing annually since 2015)

·       In 2016 we ran a number of LGBT equality masterclasses – detailed
information about number of sessions/attendees etc has not been retained.

If you are dissatisfied with this response and wish to appeal our
decision, please write to [1][Manchester Metropolitan University request email] giving your reasons for
appealing.  You must appeal within 40 working days of the date of this
email.  Under s5.3 of the Freedom of Information Act Code of Practice, we
