Whitehaven Town Council Cumbria

Mike Kenworthy made this Freedom of Information request to HM Revenue and Customs

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by HM Revenue and Customs.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

This organisation, existing since May 2015, is an employer and it has some contracts in place.

1. Is it registered as an employer?

2. Has it paid over any PAYE Tax to you this year? I am not concerned about how much just whether it has complied with its legal obligations

Yours faithfully,

Mike Kenworthy

Dear Mike Kenworthy,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 Acknowledgement

Thank you for your communication of 30th September which has been passed
to HMRC's Freedom of Information Team.

We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need
to contact us.

The Team will arrange for a reply to be sent to you which will either
comply with HMRC's obligations under Freedom of Information Act or, if we
think it's an enquiry that we don't need to address under the terms of the
Act, let you know why. If it is the latter we will, if possible, pass it
on to a more appropriate part of the Department for answer.

Yours sincerely

HMRC Freedom of Information Act Team

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,
Apparently it hs now been puti nto the public domain that this Council did not register until fairly recently despite operating since May 2015

Further it has not paid any Tax each month as required by Law but did catch up once this was disclosed and paid up its Tax Avoidance sum recently

HMRC should be taking action against these Tax avoiders
Yours faithfully,

Mike Kenworthy
