Good afternoon,
I am writing regarding your request dated the 29th November 2024 for information about:
"All emails please for the last no. of months available in which SG employees used the racist anti-
white term "white privilege " with or without a hyphen. Please consider this request to be confined to
emails between racist SG employees.
Consider sg = Scottish government, don't try to get out that way"
A request is not valid if it does not, in accordance with section 8(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), state the name of the applicant. As your request provides only your first
name within the text of the request, we do not consider it to be a valid request. Accordingly, we are not
obliged to respond to it.
It is therefore necessary for us to ask you to confirm your full name. In doing so, can you please
resubmit your request by both providing your full name and the details of your request within the body of
one email.
This is ultimately to make sure your right of appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner is
protected, should you be dissatisfied with the response to your request. Please provide your full name
(a surname and title, e.g. Mr or Ms, is sufficient). We will be able to consider your request and respond
in accordance with FOISA.
If you need any further advice and assistance to submit a valid request, please contact me.
