When does the 5 years counting starts for permanent residence card
Dear Home Office,
I would like to know when i would be qualified to apply for the permanent residence card as a family member of an EEA natioanl
My first entry to the uk was april 2010 as a student (student visa-1 year) and i renewed it in january 2011(student visa for 2 years) then i got married in april 2012 to an EEA national and applied for residence card as a family memeber of an EEA national in may 2012 which i was granted in september 2012 valid till september 2017
I have been living in the uk for more than 5 years and my wife as well (since september 2009) and i could prove that she has been exercising treaty rights for more the 5 years
But we only can prove that we are living together from february 2012 but we met each other in august 2010 but no evidence part from we used to work in a same place from december 2010 ( I was a part timer)
I would really appreciate to calrify for me from which date my 5 years lawful residency starts counting to qualify for a permanent residence card??? Is it from the date i entered the uk 1st time under student visa which my wife was already excercing her treaty rights or from the date we could prove we r living together or the date we got married or the date i was granted the residence card of a family member of an eea national
Yours faithfully,
Seln
