What were the Upheld Objections to the TRO proposed in December 2021 for Stroud Road/Larkspear Close?

We're waiting for Abigail Brook to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Gloucestershire County Council,

I have been informed by Hannah Bassett-Louis
Traffic Regulation Order Manager
Network and Traffic Management
Gloucestershire County Council

that the TRO on which consultations were carried out in December 2021 to impose more long-overdue and enforceable parking restrictions on Larkspear Close at the junction with Stroud Road and on the area immediately around the junction between Stroud Road and Ribston Hall High School entrance has been delayed by "upheld objections".

What were the "objections" (to measures to reduce drivers driving along the pavements and parking obstructively on the junctions, putting school children at risk)?!

Yours faithfully,

Abigail Brook

Dear Gloucestershire County Council,

I understand that you have upheld some of the objections to the proposed TRO on Larkspear Close/Stroud Road. Please would you let me know why (a) there have been no attempts by the Council to make the road safer for pedestrians and cyclists ie never any enforcement against drivers parking on existing double yellow lines/school zigzags; and (b) some of the existing cycle lane lines, double yellows and zigzags have not been repainted as promised.

Yours faithfully,

Abigail Brook
