Dear Home Office,
On 1st November 2018 new regulations came into force which enabled the prescription of cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs) as schedule 2 drugs by specialist medical practitioners.
1. Please provide full details of what steps the Home Office has taken to facilitate the production of CBPMs in the UK including copies of all relevant documents.
2. What specific criteria will determine whether to grant a licence for the cultivation and/or production of CBPMs?
3. What specific requirements or obligations will be placed on applicants for licences for cultivation and/or production of CBPMs?
If any aspect of this request would exceed the cost limit for answering FOI Requests I will accept a summary of the information available.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Reynolds
