What proportion of BBC news stories are about the BBC itself?

The request was refused by British Broadcasting Corporation.

Dear Sir or Madam,

My question is in three parts:

A)

In what proportion of news stories (by which I mean items on BBC TV news, BBC radio news, or the BBC website) is one of the BBC's own programmes, presenters or services the subject of the story?

A few examples of such stories:

Panorama's theme tune:

Remix the BBC News 24 Countdown:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point...

Dr Who show opens in Cardiff:

Vicar of Dibley tops Christmas TV:

Voting review for BBC's Strictly:

Lucy Owen's baby makes TV debut:

BBC presenter in rowing challenge:

Moyles, Brand up for radio awards:

B)

What proportion of those news stories show the BBC in a generally positive or uncritical light?

C)

How do the answers to A and B compare with the BBC's coverage of other comparable organisations (such as other media organisations, or similarly-sized businesses)?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Mr A. Ellam
