You only have a right in law to access information about the environment from this authority

The request was refused by South East Water.

Dear South East Water,

Please confirm what is added to the water during the purification process, and why.

Yours faithfully,

George Tsigarides

Eir Requests, South East Water

Dear Mr Tsigarides,

Information relating to what is added to water during the purification process is not considered environmental information for the purposes of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 ('the Regulations'), therefore we will not be responding to your request under the Regulations.

However, you may find our free Water Quality Checker useful; this is available online at: https://www.southeastwater.co.uk/my-wate.... This Water Quality Checker will generate a water quality report for any postcode within our supply area, containing information on levels of all components in the water. As you will see from this, you need to use a postcode to generate a report by area. This is due to the fact that water is treated differently in different areas.

If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
