Information Act 2000 (“the Act”), which we received on 17^th February
2022. Your request was set out as follows:

“1. What editorial control does Bill Gates(and/or the Gates Foundation)
have over Channel Four (or one of their subsidiaries)?

2. How much money has Bill Gates (and/or the Gates Foundation) paid to
Channel Four (or one of their subsidiaries) in each of the last 20 years?
Please provide figures yearly.

3. What is the official reason for Bill Gates's (and/or the Gates
Foundation) payments to Channel Four (or one of their subsidiaries)?

4. Do Bill Gates's (and/or the Gates Foundation) payments to Channel Four
(or one of their subsidiaries) give him any influence? If so please
describe.”

We can confirm that Bill Gates/ The Bill Gates Foundation has not given
any money to Channel 4 nor does Bill Gates/The Bill Gates Foundation have
any editorial control or influence over Channel 4 or its subsidiaries. 

Accordingly, as regards your request, no information is held by Channel 4.

For the avoidance of doubt, Channel 4 is a publicly owned but commercially
funded, UK based, television publisher/broadcaster. The majority of our
income is derived from advertising, with the remainder made up of revenue
raised from other commercial activities. You can find out more about
