West Shore.

The request was successful.

Dear Conwy County Borough Council,

I learn there are big plans for boats etc on the West Shore pond and an ice cream vehicle already in place.
When was the permission given and by whom for the van van to be permanently positioned here?
Has Planning permission been granted as the previous person was told she was not allowed to sell ice cream or drinks.
Why the change and who decided this please.
Will the concession be adversely on a yearly basis to keep the rent competitive?
If not why not ?

Yours faithfully,

Mick Roberts

Dear Uned Llyw-Gwyb / Info-Gov Unit,

Strange how the ice cream van first took the note about the business and their plans down and now the van has gone.
Have you changed your mind about letting them progress without official permission?

Yours sincerely,

Mick Roberts

Gwasanaethau Rheoleiddio a Thai FOI/Regulatory and Housing FOI, Conwy County Borough Council

Dear Sir,

Please find below information in response to your Freedom of Information
request.

The concession for the Westshore was tendered as normal Conwy County
Borough Council procurement practice in March 2018. The historic
concession holder did not apply , so a new provider was secured to deliver
seasonal service at Westshore which include pitch and put, bouncy castle (
weather depending) and ice cream / drinks/ snacks and seaside good if
appropriate.

There are no planning restrictions and whilst there were initial plans to
locate a separate cabin the current plans have changed and the concession
is now mobilised out of the permanent structure.

The old concession holder was stopped from selling ice cream since the
manner and the method of sale was not compliant with Health and wellbeing
standards.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
