I’d like to request information regarding:

- The total spend on staff and student wellbeing services (or the equivalent department) during the 2018/19 academic year.

- Are student mental health services funded by the total identified above? Y/N

- If not, could you please identify which departments are responsible for student mental health support?

Dear Mr Dixon,

 

Thank you for your email of 20^th November requesting information from the
University of Liverpool.  Colleagues have provided the information
requested below.

 

The total spend on staff and student wellbeing services (or the equivalent
department) during the 2018/19 academic year.

Students: £1,762,197. This amount covers all Student Wellbeing Services
including Student Welfare Advice and Guidance, Counselling, Mental Health
Advisory Service and Student Health.

Staff:  £47,813. This amount covers our Employee Assistance Programme.

 

Note: both amounts cover central spend and does not include individual
department spend on staff or student
wellbeing against local budgets.

 

Are student mental health services funded by the total identified above?

Yes

 

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request for
information, you have a right under Section 50 of the Freedom of
Information Act to ask the University to review it; however, you must do
so within 40 working days of the date of this response. Your request
should include our reference number and explain the reason for requesting
a review. Email [University of Liverpool request email] or write to the Freedom of Information
