Wellbeing Spend At The University of Huddersfield

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I’d like to make a request regarding information on wellbeing services.

I’d like to request information regarding:

- The total spend on staff and student wellbeing services (or the equivalent department) during the 2018/19 academic year.

- Are student mental health services funded by the total identified above? Y/N

- If not, could you please identify which departments are responsible for student mental health support?

I’d kindly request that the information is sent digitally, in a spreadsheet format; .csv or .xls file types would be ideal.

provided below in accordance to the order as in your original email.

o £466,863.57.

 

o Yes. Please note that the University’s Central Wellbeing Services are
funded by this budget.  However, students can also access support for
their mental health through support and guidance services based within
the academic schools.

Students who have declared their mental health condition as a disability
and registered with our Disability services also receive support through
this service (predominantly funded through Disabled Students Allowance).

I hope this response satisfies your request, however, if you are
dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask
for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted
within 40 working days from the date of our response to your original
request and should be addressed to the University Secretary, University of
Huddersfield, Queensgate, Huddersfield HD1 3DH or by email to
