Welfare Benefit Cases
Dear Legal Aid Agency,
Tables 5.1 to 5.3 in the Legal Aid Statisics (available here - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk... ) do not show disaggregated data for welfare benefit cases.
Instead, in Table 5.1 to 5.3 then we understand that welfare benefit matters are aggregated within the figure given for "Other non family" for each financial year in those tables.
We would be grateful if you could provide us with the figures for how many welfare benefit matters were started and completed and the total cost for those (ie give us the disaggregated figure for welfare benefits in each of tables 5.1 to 5.3).
Many thanks for your help.
Yours faithfully,
Martin Williams

Dear Information Governance (LAA),
Many thanks for this reply.
And apologies that I am evidently unable to use a spreadsheet- didn't realise could expand that table.
If you ever quit your job for the LAA then I would happily write you a reference as a tech support worker...
Yours sincerely,
Martin Williams
