Weight Management in your Health Board

We're waiting for Oliver Caswell to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Southern Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),

I would be grateful if you could please answer the following questions with regards to both tier 3 and tier 4 weight management services within your Health Board.

Please answer as many questions as you can - If a question is not relevant, please state N/A.

Tier 3

1. Does your Health Board offer a tier 3 weight management service (or equivalent specialist weight management service)? Is it self-commissioned? If commissioned elsewhere, where (which health board/ social care trust)?

2. For how many patients is your Health Board's tier 3 weight management service (or equivalent specialist weight management service) commissioned for?

3. How many patients have been referred from your Health Board to a tier 3 weight management service (or equivalent specialist weight management service) in the past 12 months?

4. What is the average waiting time to access your Tier 3 weight management service (or equivalent specialist weight management service) in the past 12 months?

Tier 4

5. Does your Health Board have access to a tier 4 weight management service? If so, who Commissions it?

6. How many patients have been referred to your Health Board’s tier 4 weight management service (or equivalent specialist weight management service) in the past 12 months?

7. What is the current number of patients on a waiting list for Tier 4 weight management services in your Health Board?

8. What is the average waiting time to access the Tier 4 weight management service?

OTHER

9. How many patients were referred through the 'local enhanced service for referrals' to weight management services in your Health Board?

Many thanks for taking the time to answer these questions.

Yours faithfully,

Oliver Caswell

Team, Foi, Southern Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland)

Thank you for your email.

We acknowledge receipt of your request.

You will be aware of the significant pressures on our health and social
care services. During this time there is a need for our staff to
prioritise their professional caring duties and to support front line
health and social care services. This has understandably had an impact on
other duties within their role such as responding to legislative
requirements under FOI and the processing of Subject Access Requests.

We assure you that your request will be logged and processed, and we will
do our utmost to respond as quickly as possible.

Yours faithfully
