I am writing to confirm that we have now completed our search for the information you requested on 28 June 2011 in relation to collection and disposal of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment

• Date of the next tender for the Collection and Disposal of WEEE
(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and Batteries.

The current contract with Viridor ends 31st July 2012, however there is a 1yr + 1yr (until 2014) extension possible. This contract is for Domestic & Recycled Waste Collection & Disposal (not just WEEE).

Batteries (under 9volts) are disposed of via a free take back system arranged via NHS Supply Chain.

We have an agreement with City Electrical Factors to dispose of old Care Trust hardware. This is done under the WEEE regulations. Only kit that is un-useable is disposed of and every effort is made to recycle where appropriate

• A copy of the previous successful tender for the collection and disposal of WEEE.
