Date of the next tender for the "Collection and Disposal of WEEE (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and Batteries for the council.
A date for the next tender of WEEE and batteries is unknown, the council
has not made a decision on the timetable for the next procurement of these
Current collection and disposal of household WEEE and batteries is
integrated into a wider contract for collection and disposal of household
waste and operation of household waste recycling centres. These services
are currently provided by May Gurney Ltd; the contract commenced on 1st
March 2010 and continues for an initial 7 years with an option to extend
by up to a further 7 years.
Also a copy of the previous successful tender for the collection and
disposal of WEEE.
Copies of the relevant parts of the contract documentation are attached,
these cover a wider range of service provision but include the
requirements relating to WEEE and batteries
