Dear James
I write in response to your recent FOI request. Firstly please accept my
apologies for the delay in responding. The Environmental Health Department
has had significant involvement in the council co-ordinated response to
covid 19. We have been involved in local contact tracing, outbreak
management and have been responsible for enforcing businesses
restrictions. This has significantly reduced the resources we have
available for other routine matters such as FOI requests.
In response to your request I can advise that Halton Council are not
responsible for monitoring the water supply serving Runcorn Shopping City.
This is a responsibility of the water provider United Utilities.
Regards
Stephen Burrows
