Dear Mr Brown
Thank you for your request submitted under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 (the EIR), regarding water leakage at or near Lyttelton
Court. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding.
Perhaps I can start by explaining that water undertakers in England and
Wales are not covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the EIR,
as they are not considered Public Authorities for the purposes of the
either. Nevertheless, if you were able to give more specific details of
you requirements I would be happy to consider making a disclosure on a
voluntary basis. Please feel free to give me a call to clarify your
request.
Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Brown
I have been investigating works which Veolia Water Central have undertaken
in Lyttelton Road or near Lyttelton Court. I am aware that there is an
ongoing issue at present and have been awaiting some indication of the
progress of our investigations. I understand that we have taken samples
of the water present at Lyttelton Court currently, of which the results
have been inconclusive which could indicate that the water evident could
be mains water or ground water and further investigation will be required,
which will take place shortly.
With regard to historical works we have completed in or around the above
areas I can confirm the following, dating back to late 2004. It should be
noted that some locations are approximate.
