Water fluoridation concentration monitoring data

Deborah made this Environmental Information Regulations request to Anglian Water Services Limited

The request was partially successful.

Dear Anglian Water Services Limited,

I would like to request the plant monitoring records for treatment works where you carry out water fluoridation; as daily fluoride concentration (mg/L).

If you have any treatment works where the water is naturally fluoridated, I would also like to request the dose monitoring records for those (daily fluoride concentration, mg/L).

I would like the records for as far back as you have them, in an excel format please.

Yours faithfully,

Moody Claire, Anglian Water Services Limited

Dear Deborah

Thank you for your email dated 12 March 2018 as below.

Anglian Water is subject to the provisions of the Environmental
Information Regulation (EIR), which concerns the provision of
environmental information. Your request has been considered under this

All of Anglian Water’s supplies contain naturally occurring fluoride.
Although the concentration varies by source, all our supplies meet the
standard of 1.5 mg/l in the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016
(as amended).

The data you have asked for by water treatment works is considerable and
not currently formatted as requested.  However, I have provided the 2017
fluoride data by Public Water Supply Zone as a minimum, mean and maximum
in the attached spreadsheet.  These results are from customer taps and/or
the upstream supplying water treatment works.  We also make fluoride
results available to the public on our website using the postcode search
facility at the following link:

Should you require older data  for your research, please contact me at the
email address on this communication.

With regards

Claire Moody
