Watching BBC programme on streaming service
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation
1) Do I need a TV licence to watch a BBC programme that is available on a streaming service (not iplayer)?
In other words if a programme has been shown on the BBC or was made by the BBC or had any BBC input but then that programme becomes available at a later date on one of the commercial streaming services do I need a licence to watch it?
1a) Do I need a licence to watch BBC material on Britbox.
2) Sometimes on social media there is a clip from the BBC. Do I need a licence to watch those clips?
3) Some online video sharing platforms have material from the BBC which is not labelled as being BBC material. Do I need a licence to view those videos. IF so then how can I know it is a BBC video?
Many thanks

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
FOI2024/00366
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request 'Watching BBC programme on streaming service'.
Your response does not answer my questions because the link you provided does NOT answer my questions.
I asked very specific questions to determine if I need to buy a TV licence. Your reply does not deal with those questions. The site you pointed me to does NOT give answers to my questions. Can you please do so.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/w...
Kind regards
papp
